slow jam cause im sad, ya know?

JK. I actually wrote/recorded this jingle tonight because

1/ I love the sound of clean guitars through a twin reverb

2/ I tried to write something that sounded like the new converge for a couple minutes, and ya, that definitely didnt happen. So my frustration led me to the polar opposite.

3/ I've listened to Unwed Sailor consistently since i was 14, and i try ripping off the sound of "marionette and the music box" at least once a week.

Can't wait to start turning up my sovtek way to loud with black lung, though.

i'll probably finish it tomorrow. maybe i'll try to sell it to a "fight for a cure" commercial, or something

This summer is exhausting me. It's brought me to some state of utter uselessness and appathy. I know I'll (hopefully) be snapping out of it soon enough, so i'll stop bitching. now.

>Black lung is all in the same place at the same time (till thursday, gahhh). We practiced last night for the first time in awhile and it was great.

>Made some plans for the not so distant future, not sure if its plan A, B, or C, but it's definitely exciting (woo woo, so vague! so mysterious! what could it be?)

a band i haven't really jammed since high school. They conveniently appeared on the scene at the same time as explosions in the sky, etc (at least for me) and kind of rode that instu-wave... Their new track is dope ("this place"), sounds like they sort of hopped on the shoegaze train with the rest of us, and im totally into that.

Us kids on MONSTER ISLAND have been chatting about being 'conscientious'. That means business people. (new hit single in the works, keep an eye out)

Im leaving for NYC on friday to hang out with great friends and watch bombs bursting in air and all that jazzzzz. I'm not sure what i'll be doing there exactly, what i'm going to do when i get back, nor whether i'll come back to tucson more or less sane than i left. Adam thinks i'll be coming back with a fat brooklyn stick up my ass. we'll see.
